Vice President of Commercial Real Estate
Russ joined Marino in 2009 and serves as Vice President of Commercial Real Estate, an area in which Marino’s practice is widely regarded as one of the nation’s finest.
Russ is a seasoned writer with substantial expertise in real estate media, market structure, continually evolving trends, and dynamics particular to the local, regional, and national markets. He is involved in all aspects of Marino’s commercial real estate accounts, providing expert insight at the account level in addition to serving as a practice-wide strategist and resource. He plays a central role in Marino’s growing presence in the CRE tech market.
Throughout his career Russ has worked for, represented, or collaborated with most of the world’s leading and NYC brokerage firms, including CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, JLL, Colliers International, Eastern Consolidated, and others. He also works with numerous developers, owners, investors, lenders, real estate organizations, attorneys, and development projects, including One World Trade Center, and across all property types and real estate finance locally, nationally, and globally.
A former English teacher and real estate journalist, Russ has a keen insight into the editorial process, with meaningful relationships across the real estate media landscape and is one of Marino’s best and most in-demand writers.
Prior to his career in real estate, Russ was a successful healthcare reporter and editor, and advises on Marino’s healthcare practice.
Russ graduated with a degree in Secondary English Education from Buffalo State College, and currently lives in New Jersey, with his wife, Liz, and their two children. Russ is also a published author.
