In a move that seemed to be stolen straight from the big screen, real estate broker Jeffrey Carlson took to the 85th floor of the newly-opened One World Trade Center to propose to his girlfriend of 5 years, Jessica St. John. This marks the first marriage proposal to take place at the Manhattan landmark.

Carlson, the broker who inked the deal for the multinational office service organization, Servcorp, toured the future office space two weeks ago with the tenant and was granted permission to pop the question at the new space.

From The New York Daily News:

“I thought it would be shot down for security reasons,” he said.

Juliette Colon, Servcorp’s sales director, said, “It was a broker that asked, and we’re romantics at heart, so how could we say no?”

Servcorp, the global leader in the executive suites and virtual office industry, has taken the 85th floor at One World Trade Center. Although they have begun pre-leasing, their space will not officially be open until April 2015.
