Students, competitors and mentors taking part in this weekend’s upcoming NYC FIRST Robotics Competition were featured today on Fox 5’s Good Day New York.

The competition, taking place all weekend long at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, will play host to approximately 3,000 students, and 200 teams from all over the world.

The three day-event includes a series of thrilling competitions, expos, and college and career fairs, and will culminate with award-winning teams advancing to represent the NYC region at the FIRST World Championship later this month in St. Louis.

Good Day New York’s Rosanna Scotto and Greg Kelly interviewed Pat Daly, Executive Director of NYC FIRST, Giselle Cunningham, an NYU-Poly School of Engineering student and mentor to students from IS 318, and the robotics teams from IS 318, Newtown HS, and Brooklyn Tech.
