The Marino Organization (TMO; www.themarino.org), a New York City-based strategic communications firm, announced it has promoted two members of its team to vice president.
Russ Colchamiro has been promoted from senior account supervisor to vice president of commercial real estate, and Matt Bergman has been promoted to vice president and senior counsel, after serving as senior strategic counsel.
As vice president of commercial real estate, Colchamiro will take on a global role in leading various commercial real estate accounts and driving TMO’s continued growth in the real estate industry. Since 2009, he has been a critical driver of numerous commercial real estate accounts including major commercial brokers, developers and iconic properties.
Prior to joining TMO, Colchamiro served as senior communications specialist at CB Richard Ellis, and spent more than a decade as a business journalist, including several years as executive editor of Commercial Property News. He has served as editor of several healthcare trade publications.
As vice president and senior counsel, Bergman will utilize his extensive business and legal background to play a key role in the agency’s growing real estate and financial client base, as well as crisis communications. He also will help lead agency-wide strategic planning and new business development.
Bergman began at TMO in 2012. He previously served as a practicing corporate finance and business restructuring attorney, primarily as an associate of Weil Gotshal & Manges. He also is a licensed real estate broker and a trained credit analyst, and has worked as a valuation consultant to privately held businesses.
