The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) is the City's oldest and most prominent real estate trade association, with a growing membership base comprised of more than 12,000 professionals from all corners of the industry. As REBNY continued to expand and become a prominent voice on issues affecting New York City real estate, the group sought to engage more of its members, increase its media profile, and update its communications efforts.
The first step in elevating REBNY's media profile was the repositioning of the group's underutilized, and often disregarded, residential and retail reports. Marino encouraged REBNY to restructure the reports in a way that clearly and concisely summarized the information most useful to the industry at the date of release, making them both timely and newsworthy.
In an effort to cement REBNY's role as the go-to authority for everything real estate, Marino also began pitching the organization's leaders as expert sources for the media on real estate industry issues, trends and public policy. Simultaneously, we advised on the revamp of the group's member communications and increased media interest at REBNY's key industry events.
From market reports and strategic placements on key public policy issues, to coverage of awards and events, REBNY's initiatives regularly garner pick-up in top-tier outlets and key industry trade publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Crain's New York Business, New York Post, New York Daily News, Real Estate Weekly, and The Real Deal.
REBNY's enhanced public profile has boosted its image as a top business association in New York City, positioned the organization as the expert source on the real estate industry, and created stronger ties between REBNY members and its leadership.
